Hello and welcome to "Bernard Swift's Machined Metal Sculpture's" web site. I would like to take this opportunity to explain a bit about my unique sculptures. My sculptures are comprised of hand machined pieces that I craft using various machine tools i.e. metal cutting band saws, lathe, milling machine and drill press. The pieces are then welded together at my shop. I do not use found objects nor do I mass produce these pieces each sculpture is a unique piece of art. I am a machinist by trade who decided to make art of my trade. The pieces machined are specifically for whatever sculpture I am currently working on. I would like to invite you in to see samples of my work in the gallery.
